Corrections Counselor II

Our Corrections Counselors are one of the main points of contact for our residents (inmates).  Counselors help our residents with their needs while incarcerated.  Jobs, custodies, good time, etc.  They role model prosocial behaviors and act with dignity, professionalism and integrity. 

Minimum Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, Social Sciences, or Behavioral Sciences AND
* One (1) year of experience working with residents in corrections, parole, or law enforcement

* Valid Driver's License
Substitutions:
* 60 hours of college coursework including 12 hours in corrections, criminal justice, social sciences, or behavioral sciences AND two (2) years of experience in the field of adult/juvenile corrections or case management in social services.
* 30 hours of college coursework including 6 hours in corrections, criminal justice, social sciences, or behavioral sciences AND three (3) years of experience in the field of adult/juvenile corrections or case management in social services.
* High School Diploma/GED AND four (4) years of experience in the field of adult/juvenile corrections or case management in social services.


* Pass Pre-Employment:
     ~ Background Check
     ~ Drug Screen
